NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Becker Planning Commission will hold their monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14th, 2025 at Becker Town Hall, 12165 Hancock Street. The Town Planning Commission will hold the following public hearings:
7:01 p.m. David Hyttsten & Joyce Herbranson, applicants and owners - Preliminary Plat Application for a nine-lot subdivision on the parcels identified as 05-00541-0105 and 05-00120-2100 lying south of County Road 4 and approximately ½ mile east of 145th Ave SE.
7:02 p.m. Becker Joint Planning Board Zoning Ordinance Amendment. An amendment to add to allowed uses and make more clear interim use permit requirements.
7:03 p.m. Great River Energy, applicant, Tony M and Valery A Wruck, owners. An Interim Use Permit application for the parcel located at 15096 102nd Street to allow a temporary public utility outdoor storage lot.

Becker Town Board Adoption of
Sherburne County Ordinance 280
An Ordinance relating to the regulation and registration of cannabis retail businesses and lower-potency hemp edible retail businesses.
Notice of Enactment: The Becker Town Board hereby ordains an ordinance relating to the regulation and registration of cannabis retail businesses and lower-potency hemp edible (LPHE) retail businesses. The Ordinance identifies the findings, purpose, authority, and jurisdiction for regulating cannabis and LPHE retail businesses. The Sherburne County Auditor-Treasurer will administer and enforce the Ordinance in coordination with public health and law enforcement agencies. The Ordinance sets forth definitions; requirements for cannabis and LPHE retailers including advertising, price discounting, and access; and buffer distances and hours of operation for cannabis retailers. It requires all cannabis and LPHE retailers to register with Sherburne County. It sets a limit on the number of cannabis retailers in Sherburne County, including Becker Township. For cannabis and LPHE retailers it sets forth the process for registration, renewals, suspensions, annual age and ordinance compliance checks, and other registration matters. It prohibits any sale by a cannabis or LPHE retailer to a customer or patient without a valid registration and a state license and authorizes a civil penalty with opportunity for an administrative hearing. It sets out civil remedies and civil or criminal penalties. This Ordinance is effective upon publication. This is a summary of the Ordinance. The full Ordinance is on file with the Becker Township Clerk, 12165 Hancock Street, Becker, MN 55308.
This Ordinance was passed by the Becker Towns Board on the 7th day of April 2025.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.

Notice is Hereby Given, the town board of Becker Township, Sherburne County, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on the 31st day of May, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. just east of the intersection of 185th Ave SE and 109th Street SE, at the first driveway on the south of 109th Street SE, Becker for the purpose of examining the road, receive public comment, considering the proposed action, and acting upon the order.
The proposed road alteration is legally described as:
That part of Section 25, Township 34, Range 28, Sherburne County, Minnesota, lying 33.00 feet to the left and right of the following described centerline:

GENERAL NOTICE TO CONTROL OR ERADICATE NOXIOUS WEEDS
Notice is hereby given this 7th day of April, 2025 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.83, Subdivision 1 (2011), that all persons in Becker Township, Sherburne County, Minnesota, shall control or eradicate all noxious weeds on land they occupy or are required to maintain. Control or eradication may be accomplished by any lawful method, but the method(s) applied may need to be repeated in order to prevent the spread of viable noxious weed seeds and other propagating parts to other lands. Failure to comply with the general notice may mean that an individual notice, Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.83, Subdivision 2 (2011), will be issued. An individual notice may be appealed within two working days of receipt to the appeal committee in the county where the land is located.
Failure to comply with an individual notice will mean the inspector having jurisdiction may either hire the work done or seek a misdemeanor charge against the person(s) who fail to comply. If the work is hired done by the inspector, the cost can be placed as a tax upon the land and collected as other real estate taxes are collected. You may obtain a list of the plants that are designated noxious and the members of the appeal committee from your County Agricultural Inspector or County-Designated Employee. You can also obtain this information from your Local Weed Inspectors. Local Weed Inspectors include the township supervisors, city mayors or their appointed assistants.
