Notice is hereby given that the Becker Planning Commission will hold their monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Becker Town Hall, 12165 Hancock Street. The Town Planning Commission will hold the following public hearings:
7:01 p.m. Bevin & Diane Mitchell, applicants and owners – Interim Use Permit application to operate an event center at 16214 117th Str SE, Becker, MN, parcel identified as 05-00128-4300.
7:02 p.m. Becker Joint Planning Board Zoning Ordinance Amendment. An amendment to add further clarification to the Cannabis ordinance and Interim Use Permits.

An Ordinance Amending the Becker Joint Planning Board Zoning Ordinance
The Becker Joint Planning Board so ordains:
SECTION 1. Section 7.04, Interim Uses Shall be amended to include the following:
Temporary storage areas and lay-down yards in conjunction with the construction or installation of public utilities are allowed on properties outside the project area with approval of an interim use permit. (Future language: See Section 17 for requirements.)
See Section 17 for interim uses related to cannabis operations.

Notice is Hereby Given, the town board of Becker Township, Sherburne County, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on the 31st day of May, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. just east of the intersection of 185th Ave SE and 109th Street SE, at the first driveway on the south of 109th Street SE, Becker for the purpose of examining the road, receive public comment, considering the proposed action, and acting upon the order.
The proposed road alteration is legally described as:
That part of Section 25, Township 34, Range 28, Sherburne County, Minnesota, lying 33.00 feet to the left and right of the following described centerline:

GENERAL NOTICE TO CONTROL OR ERADICATE NOXIOUS WEEDS
Notice is hereby given this 7th day of April, 2025 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.83, Subdivision 1 (2011), that all persons in Becker Township, Sherburne County, Minnesota, shall control or eradicate all noxious weeds on land they occupy or are required to maintain. Control or eradication may be accomplished by any lawful method, but the method(s) applied may need to be repeated in order to prevent the spread of viable noxious weed seeds and other propagating parts to other lands. Failure to comply with the general notice may mean that an individual notice, Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.83, Subdivision 2 (2011), will be issued. An individual notice may be appealed within two working days of receipt to the appeal committee in the county where the land is located.
Failure to comply with an individual notice will mean the inspector having jurisdiction may either hire the work done or seek a misdemeanor charge against the person(s) who fail to comply. If the work is hired done by the inspector, the cost can be placed as a tax upon the land and collected as other real estate taxes are collected. You may obtain a list of the plants that are designated noxious and the members of the appeal committee from your County Agricultural Inspector or County-Designated Employee. You can also obtain this information from your Local Weed Inspectors. Local Weed Inspectors include the township supervisors, city mayors or their appointed assistants.
