Upgrade of 67th Street SE between County Road 11 (165th Ave SE) and County Road 16 (185th Ave SE) from gravel surface to paved surface.
For your information, Becker Township in conjunction with Santiago Township (project lead) will be conducting road replacement for 67th Street SE as indicated above. Traffic control signage started appearing on Friday.
Contractors will be out conducting pre-roadwork activities such as paint marking and some staking activities. Please do not remove any of the markings until after the work has been completed.
If you have any questions, you may:
Timing updates will be posted to the Township website as they are available.
We anticipate work to begin this week and last up to six weeks (weather permitting). Please drive carefully and watch for signage. You will always be able to get into your home during these activities.

If you have an unpermitted secondary access, it is likely slated for removal. If you are unsure of your secondary access (2nd driveway) status, please contact this office ASAP.

- For these projects, we anticipate this replacement to occur same day. We do not expect there will be a need to relocate mailboxes at this time. If it is necessary to relocate a mailbox, we will be in communication with the post office and homeowner.
- If you have a mailbox that will attach to this post when your current support is removed, it will be attached to the new support. If you do not have a mailbox that can be attached to the standard support, you will need to purchase one and attach yourself.
- Old mailbox supports will be left in the lawn of the homes/businesses from which they were removed. We do not take them away.
- Reminder - if snowplowing or other maintenance activities damage the swing-away supports, the Township will take care of replacing the post for you. If you choose to change out to a non-standard mailbox support and it is damaged, the responsibility to replace is yours.

Notice is hereby given this 16TH day of July, 2024 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.83, Subdivision 1 (2011), that all persons in Becker Township, Sherburne County, Minnesota, shall control or eradicate all noxious weeds on land they occupy or are required to maintain. Control or eradication may be accomplished by any lawful method, but the method(s) applied may need to be repeated in order to prevent the spread of viable noxious weed seeds and other propagating parts to other lands. Failure to comply with the general notice may mean that an individual notice, Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.83, Subdivision 2 (2011), will be issued. An individual notice may be appealed within two working days of receipt to the appeal committee in the county where the land is located.
Failure to comply with an individual notice will mean the inspector having jurisdiction may either hire the work done or seek a misdemeanor charge against the person(s) who fail to comply. If the work is hired done by the inspector, the cost can be placed as a tax upon the land and collected as other real estate taxes are collected. You may obtain a list of the plants that are designated noxious and the members of the appeal committee from your County Agricultural Inspector or County-Designated Employee. You can also obtain this information from your Local Weed Inspectors. Local Weed Inspectors include the township supervisors, city mayors or their appointed assistants.
