Fiberglass Pole Markers
The Town Board understands property owner’s desire to place fiberglass pole markers at the edge of their property and oftentimes these poles extend into the public right of way. The public right of way extends beyond the edge of the pavement, typical right of way width is 33 feet from centerline of road, and is needed for snow clearing and storage. If the poles are placed anywhere in the Township right of way area, the Township is not responsible if they are damaged or sheered off and will not reimburse homeowners for any costs associated with them. In addition, please understand that if the poles placed in the right of way cause damage to plows or other public or private property, the homeowner is responsible for the costs to repair such damage.
